Hello,

The same 2 tlb files were created by Regasm command (on those 2 dlls).
Already I have 2 tlb files (for 5.2.0) in the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98" folder.

Do you want me to replace those 2 existing tlb files by the ones you sent latest ?

Yes, replace those and add reference again in VB6

#1
I removed the reference of the old (5.2.0) tlb files from the VB program.

#2
I renamed those old tlb files (5.2.0) in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98" and copied the latest ones you gave me.

#3
Then added those 2 tlb files (latest) in Project -> Reference of the VB program.

-------------------------->
Please look at the document attached.

A.
The object browser (unlike 5.2.0 tlb files) shows the members of the JobClass.

B.
But the VB program encounters errors.

--------------------------->
Please help...what is going wrong ?
Will you give me the 2 modified dlls (from where you got the 2 latest tlb files) and should I try again the Regasm command to get them registered and the tlb files generated fresh ?

We have emailed you the dlls. Please use regasm on emailed dll:s and notify us about result.

Hello Henrik,

First I thank you for your continuous help/communication.
In the next reply, I will give you the test feedback for the latest dlls.

Since you are continuously upgrading your component, and I am giving you my test feedbacks documented, it is taking some time. My trial license is going to expire in 2/3 days. Please let me know how I can continue work (evaluation for our application)
if it expires in a few days.

1. Request you for a trial license at least for a couple of weeks.
2. How to get the VisualCron activated again, using the new trial license ?

We have just sent you a new trial extension code on email.

Hello,

This time the REGASM command executed successfully without any warnings.

Please look at the attached document.

Even with the latest dlls and tlb's the VB sample code does not work.

Is this because, unless the entire set of files come with the fresh installer (new version), some internal file mismatch (due to upgrade of only 2 dlls) is stopping this to work ?

Or, the latest license extension code is not compatible with the latest dlls ?

Please suggest, where the problem is.

The problem is that you haven't placed the files in VB98 folder or your execution folder. If you have not done that you will get this error.

Hello,

#1
It's not like that (the situation is not the one you mentioned).
First I copied those 2 dll files to VB98 folder. Then issued the 'regasm' command.

regasm "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98\VisualCron.dll" /tlb:VisualCron.tlb

regasm "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98\VisualCronAPI.dll" /tlb:VisualCronAPI.tlb

Also, in the earlier phases, When I was working with the 5.2 version files, I did the same. There I did not get this type of VB Run-Time Error (as mentioned in Issue8.doc attached with my message posted on July 13, 2009), but the VB object browser did not show all the Class members (that were called from sample code), causing errors.

One point I have noticed... since my last changes with VisualCron....
When I start my machine every morning, a couple of error prompts me...
PLEASE FIND ATTACHED SCREEN SHOTS SHOWING THE PROMPTS.
Can you understand, what is going wrong with VisualCron ?

#4
Should I uninstall VisualCron, clean up my registry (for VisualCron entries) completely and install 5.2 version fresh and then try those latest 2 dlls ?

It seems like you have replaced the dll:s that I sent. You should not replace the dll:s in the VisualCron folder.

Please perform these steps:

1. uninstall VisualCron
2. install VisualCron
3. unzip the files in the same folder you are going to use them. To be sure, use both the VB98 folder and your working folder
4. use regasm (not regasm fron vb6 but from .net 2.0 folder)
5. Add references (to the tlb-files) in Visual Studio 6
