How would we go about sending an internal email to a Lotus Notes group.

We have a group called IT Helpdesk, the internal email address is IT Helpdesk LBA/SYD1/AU/CPB. It has an external email but in future when we send to other groups they do not have an external email that we can use.

Is this possible at all?

Hi Levi,

We use Lotus Notes here, but have elected to support SMTP to send emails as this keeps things clean and means any client should be able to receive it.

In your example, I believe you can also use IT.Helpdesk@CPB.??????, assuming CPB is your domain. Look in your Domino Direcory and find out your default domain and what is specified use after the @. You can additionally specify a specific SMTP email address.

Adding special email support would require using COM-components from Lotus and will also add very few features. We try to focus on generic solutions and open standards like SMTP.
