Charset support in FTP tasks - VisualCron - Forum

After upgrading we also experience issues with the danish letter æ, ø, å.

Apparently the charset support has been degraded during the upgrade. Can you confirm this bug?

Can you give us one example - is there problem downloading a file with those characters?

Exactly.

Here is a specific error:
15-06-2009 00:00:15 Err Error (5) downloading file(s): 71_L�nseddel april 09.pdf, err: Unaccepted server reply (error code is 550) (550 71_L�nseddel april 09.pdf: The system cannot find the file specified.

The file is named: 71_Lønseddel april 09.pdf

We tested this with success against another server. What charsets do you have on client and one server?

We are downloading from a regular Win2003 Std SP2 FTP server.

Again, when we are downloading using 4.90.40 everything works fine, but with ver 5 it translates æ,ø,å to funny-chars.

I have send an e-mail with log files.

I updated and changed the tasks, and it appears to be the fix I was hoping for :)

Also, thanks on finding a solution for th mainframe FTP (MVS)

I haven't been able to fully test today, but it will be tested over the following days. If I experience anything problematic, I'll return 🙂
