I have a need to automatically turn off Visual Cron for a maintenance window.
My network support department has asked for a time when they can do updates and maintenance on our servers. So what i would like to do is turn off visual cron server (as though i pushed the server off button) for 3 hours, and then turn it back on. This should give network support plenty of time to do the updates and reboots.
The problem is if there are multiple reboots visual cron will start before the maintenance window is completed.
any ideas would be appreciated
thank you

You can go to Server tab and press [On] so it goes to [Off]. Then everything that is scheduled is not being run. Then just turn it on agian.

I am trying to avoid human intervention.
Even if i do turn off visual cron, it restart when the server is rebooted.

I would like this as well. We do weekly Java code deployment where the jobs in Visual Cron use for class files. Being able to turn the server Off without human intervention (via API or some command line) would allow me to fully automate this deployment process.

How would you like this Feature request to work. That you have a setting in Server settings that can optionally turn on server at startup (service startup) if off?
