After installing 8.3.1 and importing some jobs from 8.2.9
I cannot get SQL data connections to work. I setup a connection the software crashes when clicking the icon beside the connection drop down on the task.
Finally I can't get secure SSPI or standard connections to work when testing. The connection comes back with a named pipe error. It should not be utilizing named pipes.

To get SSPI version you need to do two things;

1. select a Credential with Load profile option checked
2. select a Connection that has Integrated/Trusted authentication connection string
