Since upgrading to 8.3.0, one of my Users is no longer able to logon to one of our VisualCron servers using Active Directory. What makes it especially confusing is that I am able to authenticate with Active Directory to the same server, and she is able to authenticate to one of our other VisualCron servers that we also updated to 8.3.0

Here's the error:
Login failed, reason: User does not exist among allowed users or groups.

I have verified that her account is enabled, and is a member of the Administrator group.

This was also in the log:
11/27/2017 7:04:48 AM Err Logon error for AD user: 'xxxxxxxxx' - user not among allowed users or belong to allowed groups.
11/27/2017 7:04:48 AM Debug ConnectionManager_ConnectionRemoved->Connection removed (Server Event): uuid:b58a8aad-95ed-4a66-8dfe-81148046bd98;id=18

Thanks in advance!

Please turn on Extended debug logging in Server settings. Then try to logon again. Send us the file log_serverDATE.txt to support@visualcron.com along with screenshots of users and groups.

I think I've figured it out with the extended debug logging enabled.. It would appear that with the new version, if you are using an Active Directory user and at least one group, the User alone cannot have a group applied.. Once I added an LDAP group with her in it, she was able to conduct her usual operations.

Do you still need the logs? Was this an intended change?

You mean that you cannot logon with a AD user added - only if the AD user inherited from a AD group?

what i mean is that before the upgrade to this last version, i had on my Visual Cron server 2 AD users authorized to connect. this configuration was working fine on the previous version and since I upgrade nothing was working, receiving the error message described in this post.
i apply the solution provide by Brad, i add an AD group and after that problem is solved. i can successfully connect using AD account from VC client .

Thanks, if somebody gets this again please turn on Extended debugging in Server settings. Then try to logon - then send the log_serverDATE.txt to support@visualcron.com. Unfortunately it is not 100% clear without the extra debugging.
