I was wondering if you might consider adding functionality to support the creation of Tasks/Triggers that allow interaction with the popular RabbitMQ platform. This would be similar to how MSMQ is arranged.

A lot of the "worker applications" that we build to respond to messages could be eliminated if we were able to leverage VisualCron. Being able to send and receive messages would be the most ideal, although I would be happy to provide more specifics if you were to ever consider moving forward with this as a feature request.

Thanks,
Brad

Generally, this sounds to specific to a service in comparison to another systems like Azure Service Bus. However, this sounds like something perfect to implement through custom development. We could probably offer support for RabbitMQ at a symbolic cost if you just email sales@visualcron.com.

Thank you for the reply. While I agree that it must be difficult to maintain integration with every product out there, RabbitMQ has quickly become the number one used queue platform. This is why I suggested it.

Frankly, if we were to pay for custom development, I think we would request something that would allow us to extend the triggers and tasks using our own C# code base. That way, we could implement our own custom implementations specific to our needs.

Thanks again!

Sure, the idea of custom development is that we make it work for you according to your specifications.

It is not just about the cost of development but prioritization as well as we have an internal road map for features that are requested by more than one user. Custom developments motivates stepping aside from normal development queue.

As you know this has been implemented now in 8.3.5 so we are closing this request. https://www.visualcron.c....aspx?g=posts&t=7901
