Dropping a xls file into a directory. Not sure if our user is copying the file or doing a save-as into the destination directory.
The file trigger is firing twice.
I have extending logging on but not sure how to get to them.

Have you set the Trigger to Created + File name? Try to copy the file from one location to the trigger folder.

Make sure to check the box for "Trigger when file has been released". That's how I have file triggers set up and all is working ok for me anyway.

Yes, created + file name, and when released.

It ran fine today, but that was after VC service was restarted (something I saw in a support post a few years back).

I will keep an eye on it, thanks.

We are experiencing a similar issue with our VisualCron. It is occurring while watching our internal FTP for outside users to deliver the files. It is only occurring on File Triggers watching the internal FTP. Other network drives File Triggers experience no issues. We will try restarting the service to see if that resolves the issue.

Hi,

Just wanted to provide an update. Restarting the service was only a temporary fix. It slowly returns and starts firing double triggers again. Any help on solving the issue would be greatly appreciated.

I advice turning on Extended debugging in Server settings log. After a file has triggered twice please zip and send the file to support@visualcron.com

You mean that you can reproduce it by;

1. create file trigger
2. clone that job
3. deactivate old job

We could not reproduce it this way. It is something special you do for this to happen.

Henrik,

No, it solves the issue temporarily but it will come back.
