I've recently upgraded to 8.2.3 and now encounter crashes when trying to use the Explorer in the Connection Manager and a previous SFTP site that worked fine is now not connecting with "Connection Lost"

Has anyone else experienced this?

I had issues with 8.2.3 as well.
I was seeing connection loses to servers and it was not reporting that the connection was lost.
I also saw "can not find job id" in the client log.
The client was looking on the wrong system for a few of the jobs from another system.
I ended up downgrading the servers to 8.2.1 and my issues went away, except for memory issues that exist in 8.2.1.
We are running 8.2.3 client though.

You are talking about something else. This seems to be related to Connection Explorer and SFTP Task and not the Client in general.

1. you say you get a a crash? Can you send the crash information to support@visualcron.com?
2. Also you mention Connection lost - how do you get this when it crashes? Is it crashing after or before or in other place?
3. is it possible for us to test the connection from here? If so, please export the Connection and send to support@visualcron.com

I've had to roll back to 8.2.1 and now the SFTP job works fine (No more 'connection lost' issues) and the Explorer doesn't crash.
Using the 8.2.3 client against the older server, and the Explorer still crashes - so it looks like a client issue??

What is also interesting (And, I must admit very annoying) is that the newer version of Cron broke SFTP connections in FileZilla as well.
I've spent hours trying to see why FileZilla was broken; in what way are they related or share components?

Can you please test this beta of 8.2.4? http://www.visualcron.co....aspx?g=posts&t=7049

You only need to update the Client.

I've just tried this beta, and the connection manager bug seems fixed - thanks.

I'll do some further testing, and if there are any issues I'll let you know.

Have you managed to look into why the SFTP connections were failing, and also affected the connections in FileZilla? I'd like to upgrade the Server; but only if this is fixed.

Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. It seems the problem with failing connections is isolated to you as we have not received any other reports. Only true way to investigate this is if you can share a Connection with us and our developers could try to connect from here in debug mode.
