Was there ever a permanent resolution for this issue? I am experiencing something very similar.
I can connect from the VisualCron server to an FTPS site using WinSCP with TLS/SSL Implicit on port 990, but VisualCron gives me the following error when running the task:
'Server cannot perform SSL/TLS negotiation'
If I try the connection from the VisualCron Connection Explorer, I get the same error on the 1st attempt, and any attempts after, I get
'Wrong socket state 4 in SetAddress (error code is 96258)'
If I reset the Explorer, I go back to the 1st error, so maybe the session is just not closing properly when it generates the 2nd error.
I tried using the Brute Force test, letting VisualCron choose the port and SSL/TLS settings. However, unlike Brian's experience, mine never found a combination of settings that worked.
I am using 8.0.0, but have replicated the issue on a server that was using 8.0.1, then again after upgrading it to 8.1.0
Any guidance is appreciated.
Thanks,
