Hi,

We have an old version of VisualCron (5.7.8 I think) currently running on one overloaded and overpurposed server, and we are migrating to 6 new servers. VisualCron and its associated jobs are only a small part of the migration, and many of the VisualCron jobs have dependencies on other components that are also being migrated.

Of course, one approach is to hold off on migrating individual jobs until the dependencies are already in place on the new server. But it would be nice if I could install the current version of VisualCron side-by-side on the existing server with the existing copy of VisualCron. All of the dependencies are there on the existing server, and I can't just upgrade VisualCron in situ, because it's a production server and a three major versions upgrade, so jobs will have to be refactored in order to work.

So, is it even possible to run both versions of VisualCron side-by-side on one server?

Thanks,

Hi Rebeccah,

No, it is not possible to run both versions of VisualCron at the same time on the same machine as you can only install one version per server at any one time.
