Hi Henrik,

my eMail Notifications won`t work with an File Trigger.
No Error occuring, just doesn`t Start. Maybe there is an configuration Error.
Our PlanetPress Software writes LogFiles in an Network Folder after Job is done with an Date/Time Stamp.
VC looks at this folder and if there`s a new one, he send this logfile to some email recipients with an File Trigger
Following Configuration :
File Mask: *.log
File/Folder watch Type : Created
Notify Filters : File Name
If i cut them out and paste them in again manually it works. 😕

Greetings Axel

Hi Axel,

Please turn on extended debug and look at your server log to see if there is something wrong with the trigger.

The problem is probably how your application writes the file.

Try combination Changed + LastWrite in the File Trigger settings.

Don`t know what happened since yesterday but now it won`t work anymore.
Maybe its now depending on attchement config. By testing this (Show filtered Files) following Message comes up : Illegal Sign in Path.

Attachement Configuration in Email Task
Folder : {TRIGGER(Active|LastTrigger|File.Result.Folder)}
Include File Mask : {TRIGGER(Active|LastTrigger|File.Result.Name)}

regards

You cannot "test" it that way because these are runtime Variables and only present in runtime.

If you have an email Task and not Email Notification (together with extended debugging checkbox) you should be able to get the actual error in the general log and/or in the output of the Task.
