When trying to use an Excel - Get Cell task to retrieve a cell with a date, I get an error:

Exception in Task: Conversion from string "2014-10-27" to type 'Double' is not valid. Input string was not in a correct format.

The cell in question is formatted as a Date in Excel. Changing the cell to General or Text works, but the file is sourced from a third party and I have no control over the input file so I would like to be able to get the cell data as a string regardless of the source format in Excel.

I was on 7.6.4. I upgraded to 7.6.6 but I still get the same error.

I've emailed the file to you.

Hi, thanks for the quick response. However I've found another bug.

For cell coordinates, if using Cell by reference I get an incorrect date when selecting a date cell and for non-date cells I get Exception in Task: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

It works as expected if I use Cell by position and enter the same cell coordinates or using Cell by reference range and entering the same cell for both start and end.

Errors:
Date cell with Cell by reference: http://i.imgur.com/nkB2jz2.png
General cell with Cell by reference: http://i.imgur.com/gO6GQVu.png

Working:

Date cell with Cell by reference range: http://i.imgur.com/rUzHpO2.png
