Hi,

I've set up a number of user defined variables and used them througout several various tasks and objects.
Now i would like to substitute some of them with environment variables.

Is there a way to replace a certain variable with another for every occurence of the variable? Or at least a way to identify all the tasks the variable is used in, like i can do with connections or User Permissions?

Try Tools->Object search and write the Variable name - then you can at least find where they are used.
