I'm trying to list files in a SFTP connection, but the file times are showing UTC instead of local time. If I use a regular FTP connection, the file times are local.

Is there a way to get the SFTP connection to use local time? I found an old thread  where VC was modified to use MLSD if available to get the local time. But I don't know if that's applicable to SFTP connections or not. When I log into the server using an SSH terminal, the file times are local.

Are you talking about when using the FTP explorer?

Yes, FTP explorer shows the UTC time. UTC time is also used when I'm filtering on the file time using the List Files command of the FTP/FTPS/SFTP task. What I'm ultimately trying to get is for the List Files command to use local file time, not the UTC time. And it works fine if the connection is FTP, but not if it is SFTP.

Our developers tested this and came to the conclusion that the FTP explorer and Task both uses local time format and not UTC. It could be that your FTP server is old or handle dates differently. We tested against FileZilla server.

The server is Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.9.

I don't know if the date handling is non-standard, but when I view the files across a SFTP connection via FileZilla, CuteFTP or PuTTY, they all show the local time, not the UTC time. And VisualCron also shows the local time as long as the connection is FTP, not SFTP.

We were able to reproduce this. Please test this version:

I tested the new version. FTP explorer now shows the local time. Excellent!

I created a task to list files with a modified date within the past 60 minutes using this expression: {DATENOWADD(Minutes|-60|M/d/yyyy h:mm tt)}. When I ran the task, it returned the appropriate files, so that too is working perfectly.

There is only one slight wrinkle. The List Files task has a "Test" tab where you can click the "Show filtered files" button. When I click the button for the task I created, it shows files modified within the past 5 hours. It appears that the "Test" tab may still be using the UTC time.

I really appreciate all your help with this!
