We have configured several groups that execute lot of separate jobs with lot of tasks. All of them are related with a one big process and will be useful to get an alert (email will be enough) in case any of the involved tasks fails.

We would want to receive on the alert the following information:
  • job that failed
  • error on the output column

Right now we can only figure it out by going to each job and adding an OnError clause. But that's a really tedious and manual task. And if something change (sure it will) it will be prohibitive to go through all tasks modifying the alert in case of error.

Hi Yaroslav,

This is the way it needs to be done. You set notifications in the flow tab on the job/task.

If you need to to this for a lot of jobs/tasks, you might want to do this using the API, but you need some programmming skills to do that.
If not, manual entry is the only possiblity.

Erik
