Greetings,

I want to export a Crystal Report to PDF. My setup is as follows:

Config

When run, nothing happens. Result window below:

Result

Not sure what I am missing. I would expect the pdf to show up in the same directory where the .rpt file is located.

Can anyone comment and suggest solutions?

Thanks in advance.

Turn on extended debugging in server settings. Run the Job. Check the output log file for more information about what happened.

I enabled Extended Logging, and I assume I should be looking in the Job Log. This is what the job log shows:

Hi Krzysztof,

You can also look on the file system in the visualcron installation folder. There is a folder called 'log' and in there you find log files you can inspect.

The log pointed to an error in the connection.
It's not very obvious as to how to set up the connection, but for anyone whom this may help.

I used a report that didn't have parameters.
To set up a crystal report export task, you have to specify a connection as a Crystal Report protocol, to the sql server to which the report connects.

CR

Also specify the credentials the report uses to connect to the sql server in the Authentication tab.
