Hi Henrik,

I installed this version to see if it would fix my problem with the Delete Folder task issue, but once the installer finished the VisualCron service would not start. It would hang and then eventually timeout.

I was able to revert to 7.12 with no problems.

Thanks,
Matt

Could you send us the error from the event log from the time you tried to install this?

Which operating system do you use? And is it 32 or 64 bit?

The server I installed this one to is Windows Server 2003 Standard, 32bit.

I do have some other production servers that are running Windows Server 2008 R2 - 64bit, but I did not try installing it there yet.

I was able to test the Delete Folder function fix for this version by installing a fresh copy of VisualCron 5.7.4, adding some Delete Folder jobs, and then installing the 7.1.4 beta as an upgrade on Windows Server 2003 - 32bit (with the fix for VC90 files you gave me).

After the upgrade the Delete Folder function continued to work as expected and didn't delete the Base folder field. Looks good, and thanks for the quick fix!

Hi Henrik,

I think the Audit Trail / Log / Diff enhancements are looking good.

As a site with multiple users & multiple servers we will find this a great enhancement.

Reversion is very good also.

Couple of minor points :

1) In terms of version management, when you revert to an earlier it would be useful to see that it was a reversion, not just another change in the Summary - Screen 1
2) Mouse Over is excellent, many of the changes / field values will be large. Can we indicate on screen (perhaps "...") that there is more to see as a visual cue ? May be worth tweaking the columns to maximize the before / after - Screen 2 & Screen 2a
3) Use of VisualCron Default Admin (Locally) Compromises Audit Trail (as it does really for Maintenance . . . where you have multiple Job admins). Screen 3
4) You will note that Job Changes are logging trigger changes in the summary which is not correct (The DIFF is correct). Would be *nice* if the trigger is mentioned in the summary only when trigger changed, not job change where there happens to be a trigger present. Screen 3

Hi Henrik,

User Variables Attached in Screen Prints (But they appear OK and are unchanged from previous).

It appears that previous renaming with file wildcards that worked in 7.1.3 are not working in this version ?

i.e. this destination file mask on copy (Screen 2):

* - {COMPUTER(Name)} - {DATEFORMAT(yyyy-MM-dd)}.*

Just a * above (No rename) works of course, but adding back the above fails with the index error.

Have also attached 'history' in folder of what we have had in the past pre going the 7.1.4 beta which is a daily snapshot of visualcron settings.

Please note the last screen print where I have replaced the variables above with hard coded labels and it is still not working (same error)

Once I remove the extension part of the rename it works !

Regards

Kevin
