All,
I have a job that runs continuously and I would like for it to send an email on START and anytime the job ENDS for any reason. I see a notification for Success, Complete and Error. I just want to get 1 notification if the job ends, whether its a success complete or error vs. multiple notifications to cut down on the email traffic.

Is there a type that I can use so I just get one email? My email already gives me the status of the job so I will know if it ended in Error or Success.

Hi,

you said you wanted email on Start and on End? Then you just create two Flows in the Flow tab of Job. One with Start action and one with Complete action.

So if the job ERRORS or is SUCCESSFUL or ends then we will get a message if we just use the Notification on Complete?

Not sure which version you are using but in the newer versions you can select from;

  • On success
  • On error
  • On complete

On complete will send regardless of success or error.
