How is it that one cab use the Download files from Google. I have created a Connection and applied the needed Credentials. It appears to login but I am not seeing any files when I can see files from the browser.

Not sure of the meaning of your question "How is it that one cab use"?

Anyway, our code is prepared for Google Docs and not Google Drive. We will implement Google Drive support soon. I think the difference is the support of different file types. But in your case it could be a connection problem. Have you tried the internal browser of VisualCron for your Connection?
