Is not the install switch enough? The problem with having multiple installers is that files may be overwritten, if you already have installed the Server part. With the installer switch you can choose what to install and also later turn it to act as a server.
Also, it simplifies distribution for us, build time and less support as we are now sure that Client and Server is of same version.
