Dear Support,

Our VisualCron server (windows 2008R2) suddenly pop up BlueScreen and reboot.
No job was running at that moment.

After checking the windows event log. The windows dead with Blue screen with mini-dump.

When open the dump with Microsoft debugger, it report the crash caused by visualcronserv. However, when open the dump with BLUEScreenView, it report ntoskernl.exe crashed.

Any previous case similar that vcron crashed the ntoskernl.exe?
or Any idea on this issue?

I suggest upgrading. There is a bug in Windows 2008 which causes a bluescreen when we do a certain call to .NET. We have made a workaround in future versions.

What version should I upgrade to? Which version start fix this issue?
Can you describe more about this issue so that we can prevent this from happening again before we finish upgrade?

And moreover, what version can I upgrade to under current maintenance license?

This issue was fixed in 5.7.7 but we recommend upgrading to the latest as a lot of other bugs has been fixed since then.

What happens is that we query WMI through .NET for child processes when trying to terminate a process. In 1/100 the server gives a blue screen when doing this. We do not know why though.

You can see your "max version" in the My licenses page. Upgrade to latest is currently $99 per server.
