We've setup various jobs that require access to files on Network Drives. IT usually run these drives through maintenance on the weekend which usually involves a reboot.

When this happens, the mapping of the Network Drive is disconnected, and all jobs that use the drives error and stop until I manually go into VisualCron and hit "Reconnect" to restore the mapping. This is happening regularly over the weekend.

Is there any way VisualCron can automatically restore the mappings?

Right now we are dependent on the system. What we do is to map a drive throught the Windows API and by default we have set it to reconnect on startup. Right now we do not know how to handle this as it should be automatic.

I am moving this to Feature requests to see if we can do some kind of check in the future.

If we could create a Task that could Reconnect a map drive, then with whats already built within VisualCron we could facilitate the rest, one example being putting the job onto the "On Error" event of the jobs that use the map drive.

Yes, that might be a good idea. Or generally, create a drive mapping Task and if it already exists - reconnect it.
