Dear all

Since a few weeks I've seen that the VisualCron log files job fails from time to time (not every day).

The error output is:
Exception in Task: Error 0 deleting file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\VisualCron\log\mailtrigger.txt': The operation completed successfully.

I also have a normal output:
C:\Program Files (x86)\VisualCron\log\log_server20130706.txt
1 file(s) was/were deleted.

It seems to have issues with the mailtrigger.txt file, but not every day. Is there something that can be done to get rid of this error?

Thanks for your help

Susanna

It seems like you are talking about the Delete file Task. I can think of one reason and that is that the mailtrigger.txt is in use when you have Extended debugging on. But - by default the Delete log files Job does delete much older files. Perhaps you have changed the settings?

Hi Henrik

Yes, I was talking about the cleanup job...

Nothing was changed on this job, I just checked and the settings are all ok (with only deleting files older than a month). Maybe it tries to check for the last change and the mailtrigger logs excactly at this time.

Can I do something that the job doesn't fail? The deletion of the other file(s) is working correctly.

Thanks

Easiest way is to edit that Task and exclude the mailtrigger.txt file from the deletion.

Thank you Henrik!

Was looking for a much more difficult solution that I didn't see the easiest one ;o)

Thanks
