Hello all,

I've upgraded to version 6.2.2 all servers of my organization. But just in one of them I cannot connect from the client computer (tried from my computer and other colleagues' computers too). From the server is working fine.
The progress bar keeps to 0% and in the server log I get the message: "Could not start socket server, please shut down all processes previously started by VisualCron, error details: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port)is normally permitted.
I've tried to connect with the admin account and with my domain account. Not working in both situations.

Any idea?

There is an old running process that is locking up the application. The process is a process you launched before with Execute Task. It seems like it was still running when you upgraded. You need to kill all instances of those and then wait 30 seconds - then connect again.

Hello,

I can't see anything running. I've stopped/started the service several times. If it's what you say, why can i connect fromt the server itself and cannot connect from the client?

Thanks!

It is related to a previous process that was started. Stopping/starting service does not help. You can solve this two ways:

1. kill the child processes
2. reboot the server

Hello Henrik,

You were completely right. There was an old process still running that I wasn't aware of. So after killing it, I can connect correctly from the client.

Thanks a lot.
