Re-install .NET 4: http://www.microsoft.com...ad/details.aspx?id=17718
Uninstall VisualCron manually.
Reboot if possible.
Install again.

1) Uninstalled and reinstalled .NET 4 and rebooted
2) Uninstalled and reinstalled VC 6 and rebooted.

Still can't start the service - now getting this error, in addition to the original errors.

(There are some older .NET versions on the server - should all .NET components be uninstalled from the server, then only install v4?

Hi,

We also talked on IM - you requested that I try installing VisualCron6.1.8-2.exe to make sure that it wasn't a problem with the build.

I am getting the same error for that. It occurs specifically when the Tray Client is trying to install - it fails, but the installation completes, except for the service won't start.

(You also asked about AV - I have checked the Event Logs, and I don't see any messages that come from the AV.)

I'm getting the same error, in the same situation. Tried to start VC service manually, but it wont starting, shooting a 1067 error - process stopped unexpectedly.
This leads to the situation where I can monitor servers but cant start a local one...
please advise.
Using Windows 7 64-bits.
VC 6.1.5.
Thanks

Yours is not related. The other user has an install problem and you have a start problem. Yours is very general error. Please send log file (log_serverDATE.txt) to support@visualcron.com
