Hi,

I have the following issue:
I have installed both the client and server on 1 machine. I used to be able to start the client and connect to the VC server and managed the tasks configured.

At the moment when I try to start the client I see the visualcronclient.exe in the process list but the client window does not appear. Even after 1 hour waiting the window still is not visible. Furthermore the client process is using about 25% CPU. The only way to close the client is to kill the process.

I am using the version 5.4.7. And No I am not able to upgrade to the latest version right now 🙂.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this issue or what might the cause?

Thanks in advance

Hard to say. I would reboot the computer.

Have you set VisualCron to auto-connect?

Hi

yes, auto connect is enabled.
We have rebooted the machine a couple of times now, but still the client is not starting.

Any other suggestions?

I think you should remove the auto connect. Normally these settings are here:

C:\Users\User name\AppData\Local\VisualCron\settings

  • Close the Client first (stop in Task manager)
  • Delete the file servers.xml
  • Start the client again

sorry there is no servers.xml file on the server. So i think auto connect was disabled.

servers.xml controls the auto connect. Try looking in the settings folder of VisualCron installation.
