Situation:

VC 6.1.4

User logs onto workstation in DomainA, launches VC client, and tries to connect to VC server in DomainB, which trusts DomainA (one-way), and gets this message: "Login failed, reason: Unhandled AD error ocurred. Please view server log file." (That's exactly how the message reads.)

The server log simply says: "10/10/2012 5:50:00 PM Err Logon error for AD user: 'username' - unhandled AD error: An operations error occurred."

The setup works fine for authenticating to VC servers in DomainA.

On the VC server in DomainB, Settings-->Users/Logon is set as follows:
  • Only allow local connections: unchecked

  • Allow Active Directory Logon: checked

  • AD Server: DOMAINA.LOCAL (I've also tried individual hostname/IP for a DC in DomainA.)

  • Population or not of "Allowed groups" has no affect. The first time I try to browse the groups in DomainA, I am asked to authenticate to DomainA.

Can anyone tell me how to make this work?

Thanks,
Chaz

We have not built in support for two domains like that but could you please try if it works better if you change the user that runs the VisualCron Windows Service from Local system to a domain user?
