Good morning,

I started out with an evaluation (trial) version of the software -- version 4.9.21. Last week my company purchased a site license, and I activated the license key.

Now, when I click on "Check for Updates", a pop up window comes up and says "You are probably using a testversion, no newer official version is available". However, your website is showing version 4.9.26 available.

Is there something missing in my installation, or is the "Check for Updates" functionality not working as intended? Should I upgrade manually?

Regards,
-Alan.

PS: I am interested in using the new "Execute Script" task functionality in 4.9.26, so I have a concrete motivation to upgrade soon.

Hi Alan,

we get this question quite often. We know that we have not updated the update system in a while - which causes this message. We know that updating the update system causes a lot of users updating at the same time and we feel that we need more feedback before pushing that update out. Now it seems to be very stable and the smaller bugs that where present has been fixed so we will probably push it out soon.

Hi Henrik,

Thank you for the quick reply.

Would it be safe for me to install version 4.9.26 manually (i.e. download it and run the install wizard)?

Yes. As always we recommend doing a backup of all settings first.
