Could you describe this in more detail. Are you saying that you only get the email when you look at the Trigger (in edit mode)?

Can you reproduce this easily?

I get the email if i open the job and then hit the trigger tab and close the job...without even opening the trigger itself...i can reproduce everytime...but it is only on triggers that are Event driven.

But how do you reproduce the error in the first place? I mean, if I setup a connection here, what should I do to reproduce the error?

Create a Job, and then use a file trigger as your event trigger. Save the job. Open the Job...click on the Trigger and without doing anything hit OK...thats when i get the email saying inactivated...and after trying again...i can recreate also with a custom time trigger. I am on version 6.1.3 and have had this scenario in previous releases...just never asked the question. You can create any type of tasks within the job.

I have deleted and recreated the job for inactivated triggers and get same results...i also went to the trigger option (deleted or inactivated) selected it and inactivated a trigger....the inactivated job did not work...put trigger type back to Inactivated or Expired and produced the original results when just clicking the trigger tab and hitting ok. Also...if i hit cancel at the trigger tab level i receive no email.

It sounds like are specifying a path that do not exist. What if you just specify c:\ and repeat?

Not sure what you mean by path?

If you mean the file path of the trigger..then that would not be the problem as all my file triggers work just fine. Also...i am not even opening the trigger to edit it...i am just opening the job and then hitting the trigger tab and then ok. Thats when i get the email...for file trigger and custom time trigger.

Ok, I think I see now. I thought you watched for the File Trigger to fail (and being deactivated by that reason). But you are just looking at general deactivation?

After some investigation the problem is that whenever a Job is edited we deactivate and then activate Triggers. The main reason is that a lot of changes can have been made. We see to easy way to work around this right now.
