Hi All ,

at the Moment im testing visualcron for our Company .

But Im not able to get an ftp download .

Informations for Job and task are Ok .

When Clone the Job and make a change to Upload task it works without Problems .

So i think its not an connection problem .

Situation :

I want to download several zip Files .

Ftp Command Download

Main Settings :

Connection (is ok Upload works)

no Credential

Download Settings :

source Folder : /exchange/Citipost

File mask : *

Transfer Type : Binary

Destination

C.\test

No more settings or restrictions in task or job are set.

So i cant figure out whats the Problem is . 😕

If no errors occur I think it is something with source folder. Please use the Tools->FTP Explorer and connect and try to download there. Verify download folder in combo box in tool against your setting.

If you have any errors in log after download then please post them here. You can see errors in the realtime log.

Hi Citipost,

In the Visualcrons application folder, there is a log folder.
In there you find the server log file: log_serverYYYYMMDD.txt

Could you share us the log lines when you want to download something?

(You might want to set the extended debug logging in the server settings to get more logging information.)

I think it might be related to that you try to specify back slashes in folders when the FTP uses forward slashes /.

Yes, it was my first guess when I saw this part in the log:

Why should you have to type it manually? The FTP browser is just listing all folder available.

I think, best way to resolve this is if you can give us a test account. Then we can figure out exactly what goes wrong.

As example :

when i login with filezilla, i`m in the Main Folder (in this case exchange)

There Filezilla shows me my the Folder(in this case Linnenbecker)where the Files are in .

If i click on it i change to /exchange/Linnenbecker and download is possible.

This works with Filezilla but not with ur Terminal Explorer .

In your Terminal Explorer im also in the Exchange Folder but and he also shows me Linnenbecker. But I couldnt click in Linnenbecker .

I only can get in this Folder over Command Line above.

And download is not possible if i want to copy and paste is to local .

Error is in German : Das angegebene Pfadformat wird nicht unterstützt.

Translation : The given path format is not supported

When you click on the folder - do you see any errors in the log part of the same window?

When you run the Task VisualCron sees one file in the folder /exchange/Linnenbecker:

gws-230232-01-Kuvert-MDS-01-20120416-072502.zip

But as your filter probably not match this file name it is not downloaded. What filter do you use?

There were 2 problems with the server;

1. a non standard system name for the ftp server
2. a non standard format for unix listing of files and folders

Still, we did a workaround which hopefully works for you. You find it in this version:
