Could be that you use different versions of Client and Server?

You can't change the time window in where the AND events should appear. It stays on one hour.

Other issue:
I added three file triggers to a job.
A create / rename and delete trigger.
The create and rename are used in an AND configuration.

If I delete a file at the trigger location, nothing happens.

If I delete the two combined triggers, than the job triggers is I delete a file.
The delete trigger is however an OR and should always work right?

Erik

Yes, I am connecting to a 6.0.6 server.
Since that's a producton server, I don't want to upgrade it until at least the next version. (6.0.9 doesn't work for us because of the wildcard bug that should be fixed now.)

Still buggs here...

Setup
I have a job with one file trigger.
- cloned one trigger 2 times and gave them other names (miss the -x after the name to know you have cloned the trigger)
- I changed the triggers to delete file / rename file / create file. So every trigger has one task.
- I setup dependencies for two triggers (create + rename) in a window of 10 seconds
- I OKed the trigger window.

BUG
When I opened the job and looked at the triggers, only my 1st trigger is there. The clones are gone.

BUG
I re-cloned my trigger, setup the dependencies and OKed the triggers again.
If I now open the job and look at my triggers they are there. I see the two labels for the dependencies, but if I open the dependencies window, noting is selected, so no dependencies there.

BUG
Also my job is not triggered by any of the triggers defined anymore.

BUG
I changed my triggers, the other cloned triggers are changed also.

Conclusion
Glad we are in the beta stage here. 😎

Erik

If I change the order of my tasks in a job, close the job and go to the loop window from the main GUI, the order of the tasks are wrong in the loop settings window.

I'm using this version (6.1.0) and the wildcard is still not working correctly.
I just created a task to delete all files in a folder that start with query1.
I put in "query1*.*" and using the test function, it found:
query1_1.txt
query1_2.txt
query1_3.txt

then I put in "query1.txt" and using the test function, it found:
query1.txt

I then executed the first and deleted the first 3 only.

Just a note to de GUI design: the dependency icon in menu bar is red and in the grid blue. I tink they should be the same color, and in the grid it should be aligned to the center just as the other icons.

[EDIT] I just noticed more dependencies are possible, so ignore the color note [/EDIT]

I will try to recreate this error and I'll post the steps here:

  1. Create a job
  2. Create a default file trigger and name it 1
  3. Clone this trigger 3 times and name them 2 - 3 and 4
  4. select the 1st and make a dependency with the 2nd
  5. select the 3rd and make a dependency with the 4th
  6. select the 4th and make a dependency with the 1st and deselect the 3rd
  7. The ERROR should be there now

By playing with the dependencies I encountered the following:
  1. It is possible to have only one trigger in a dependency by changing the dependencies among eachother
  2. It looks like I'm not able to remove a dependendy. I always have to select 2 or more triggers

Hi,

I have an question regarding the trigger dependency:

If I have multiple sets of dependencies for one job and one set triggers my job all the trigger counts for this set are reset to zero. The other trigger counts, beloning to other sets, aren't.

Is this normal behaviour? Shouldn't all trigger counters set to zero when a job is triggered?

Erik

Right now, this is normal behavior. As the Triggers are independent they work like this. I see the point but I am not sure the need is here now. We will await more feedback for this.

New version, changes:

[BUGFIX] Client: Fixed an issue with method selection in Assembly execute Task
[BUGFIX] Client: Fixed an issue with path storage in Assembly execute Task

+ fix for deleting dependency (able to select zero) (thanks Erik)
+ fix error when moving around dependencies (thanks Erik)

We could not reproduce (maybe we fixed it with other fixes):

Quote:

It is possible to have only one trigger in a dependency by changing the dependencies among each other

To have only one dependency on a trigger do the following:

  1. Create a job
  2. Create a default file trigger and name it 1
  3. Clone this trigger 3 times and name them 2 - 3 and 4
  4. Select the 1st and make a dependency with the 2nd
  5. Select the 3rd and make a dependency with the 4th
  6. select the 1st and make dependencies with 1, 2 and 3 (4th lost his dependency now)
  7. select the 4th and make dependencies with 2, 3 and 4
  8. the 1st trigger is now the only one left in the dependency

I did not try this with the new beta version. I'll do this in a minute.

The last version did not fix this. 😲

Deleting a dependency is possible now. 😁

I have an other note here:
Why not show only the triggers, in the dependency window, you can depend on. So the selected is never in the list, but is in a label above the listbox. "Please select the dependencies for tigger: bla bla".
If you don't select anything the dependency is lost.

I think this is a better/understandable way for the user interface. 😎
