Hi,

Currently on 6.0.4

When I have a file write task accessing a file, appending a line everything is ok.
When I have another task doing the same at the same time, not both lines are added to the file, but only one. One change is lost.

Is there a fix for this so both lines are added? The 2nd process is not giving an error, so it looks everithing is ok, but it's not.

Regards,
Erik

Hi Henrik,

What will the fix do:
  1. Give an error if write fails
  2. write both lines in the file

I am not sure yet, we have not looked at this yet. If both lines can be written then maybe we will support that.

Hi Erik,

can you tell us a good easy way to reproduce this?

With 6.1.3 I tried to recreate my issue and I wasn't able to recreate my issue.

I made three jobs which had three file write tasks in there in a loop (100 itterations). All writing to the same file.
I had an other job with a file change trigger on this file, writing also data in the file with the file write task (this is an infinitive loop..)
The last job was running the first three jobs at the same time.
When all the looped jobs stopped, I stopped the triggered job manualy.

The only issue I encountered (once) was a file in use error within a loop and the whole job stopped.

All the lines were there in the file. So it's not a good recreation of my issue...

regards
Erik
