If i I have a task copying files with the "Include sub folders" option on the source, path folders will be created in the destination even if the "create folder structure" is not selected. This seems to be the fact in both normal copy, and also FTP.

I just want to search subfolders for the files to be copied, and put them on the top level in destination. How can I do that?

Hi Svei,

You can use the List Files task to list all the files in a folder structure.
Than you can use the looping meganism to copy every file to one specific folder.
You use the output from the List Files task as imput for the looping.

Hi Eric,

IMHO this makes a simple task very complicated. I would expect that a simple filecopy task should be able to do just that, copy the file....

But, Eric, thks for this suggestion, it could be useful for me anyway!

I think we will introduce an option to copy it to the destination without creating sub folders.

In an FTP file download, checking the case sensitive checkbox seems to supress the folder creation. I have a job that logs on to an ftp server and downloads a file data.txt from a /kunde/input/ folder. the destination is a local folder c:\data. If the case sensitive box is NOT checked I get an error message that part of the path c:\data\kunde\input can not be found. If it is checked then the file data.txt is placed in c:\data 😕

Hi vistisen,

we tried this with latest 6.1.0 beta and could not reproduce this issue.

Did the feature of NOT automatically creating subfolders ever get implemented?

Thanks, Mike

Hi gorkam,

I don't think so.
In 6.2.2 you can still not alter the creation of subfolders.

Create full folder structure creates the absolute folder structure from the root. When unchecked it is creating the relative folder structure.

Perhaps, more exactly, what you want is some kind of function like:

"Place all files in destination folder" - is this what you are searching for?

I think this is indeed what he wants.

I encountered this myself yesterday, and I want it 😁 😁

Yes, it's what I would like. Our developer didn't want to change his scripts, so I had to change mine!

You can now copy all files to one single destination folder in this version:
