Cron2250

Maybe this is documented or discussed somewhere and I'm not searching for the right thing, but is there any maintenance required of the VisualCron logs (job/task logs and captured output from executed tasks)? Does VC automatically purge this information after some period of time or do I need to do something to keep it from eventually filling up my hard drive?

We do create a default Job to cleanup logs from the "installation folder"/log. If you delete that Job old logs will not be deleted.

There is also another location for output and the path is specific to your Windows version. You can view the path in Settings->Folders. This path is automatically cleaned during runtime if you have a newer version. If you have an old version this path is cleaned at startup (when services starts the next time).
