Hi,

Original we are v5.6.2 with nerwork drives, after upgraded to 6.0.4 I can not map a network drive, error description is "A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated".

And then i follow instructions posted in FAQs, to disable "Network access: Do not allow storage of credentials or .NET Passports for network authentication" but still not work.

Please help and let me know what should I do for this (VC not working impacts us quit a lot)

Thanks a lot

I am not sure what has happened according to this description. I wonder if it is a temporary state - have you tried to reboot the server?

What if you change that VisualCron service run as the same user you are trying to map as. By default VisualCron is running as SYSTEM account and you may want to change that.

I thought I need to create an domain account for the network drive mapping.

So you mean we can use admin to map the network drive?

In v5.6.2, this account works without any issue

First, you don't need to use a domain account for mapping - you could also use an admin on the remote computer.

My suggestion was to keep same Credential as you use in 5.6.2 but run the VisualCron service as another user - a local admin.

But you also said you got problems when reverting back? This code, for mapping drives has not been changed in years.

Go to Administrive tools->Services. Scroll down to VisualCron. Right click and choose properties. Go to Log on tab and change the user there.

After checking, we are using local system account to startup VC services.

Any other possibility that may caused this problem?

Well, that could be the problem. Please, try, as I mentioned, to use another account than local system, perhaps the domain user or local user.

Great, maybe you had it set before and the new installation reset that setting. Thanks for the feedback.
