Hi

we rebooted all our servers at the weekend and 2 out of 3 with VC on are fine - the third just shows the 2 jobs in the default group.

Original Job details seem to be in the jobs.xml on E:\visualcron\settings along with most of the VC stuff but there also a D:\visualcron\settings with just he 2 jobs in. There appear to be no back-ups prior to the reboot.

Will try resoring the dirs when the backup tapes are available but is there anyway of fixing it without that?

Thanks

By default the backup and delete Jobs are created at startup. It is optional to delete those but we recommend them as things can happen during reboot, problems with disks etc.

The big question is if you had logs from before. If you had there should be a recent file in the backup folder of the installation folder.

If not, you can take your other tape backups, stop the VisualCron service and just copy the items from the "settings" folder of the installation directory over the current. Then start the service.

The reason for why it was deleted is probably in the log file from the day it was restarted. You can send it to support@visualcron.com. It is called log_serverDATE.txt

Thanks

If the zip contains everything I would import it using File->Import with the client.

Zip file contains same as d:\visualcron\settings - i.e. 2 default jobs
