Hi,

We have a FTP S connection to the government for exchanging files. For security purposes they’ve implement a client certificate solution.

The details:

We have bought a client certificate from the government Certificate Authority, with the following details:

• SHA 256 G2 encryption, see for more details:
  
  • http://blogs.technet.com.../30/sha2-and-windows.asp 
• The certificate has a private and public key.

The FTP details:

1. FTP connection on port 21 with username + password
   
2. Client certificate for the data connection on tcp port 59000 59100

During the import process no private key or password has been asked. See the images attached.

Using the certificate in VC we receive a message from the ftp server : “No client certificate presented.”

We verified it was working with WS_FTP 12.3.

Could you help us with this connection issue? Or are FTPS with client certificates not (yet) supported?

I see you have a certificate in the Certificates window but is it selected in the Connection?

We could build a new version for you that contains some extra debugging about reading in the certificate into the FTP object.

Could you check right now if you have any errors in the log file when running the Task?
