Hello from Hamburg,

I am actually testing visualcron with good success.

There ist one Issue, I cannot resolve:

We are running our jobs in a foregroud-scenario. All jobs run on a Windows 2008 Server and we admins access that server via Remote-Desktop.

After Rebooting the server, the visualcron-Trayclient reconnects to the visualcron-server and starts scheduling. I receive Mails from the Trayclient with information, that a job is started. But the executables are not executed.

Error message is

"Tray Client could not be connected for Task execution" and "Could not find the specified Conection for execution".

Ich have selected Logon/Unlock using Credential and have assigned our operations-account that obviously has all rights to logon that server, open a session and execute the executable file.

What am I doing wrong with it?

Looking forward for your kind assistance,

Claus

Hi Claus,

is your server 32 or 64 bit?

Hello,

it is a 32-bit Windows 2008 Server.
I have executed the "Interactive Login: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL" Setup before that.

What does the log say when this happens? Any errors?

Hello,

as I described in my first post, it says:

Error message is

"Tray Client could not be connected for Task execution" and "Could not find the specified Conection for execution".

Yes, but the that is the secondary error. The primary error is that it can't login. Do you see any trace of that?

Please turn on "extended debugging" in Server tab->settings. Then schedule it to run soon. Then logout or lock to see what happens. If it does not unlock then you need to login and check the log again.

Hello,

this morning I have rebooted our server and visualcron started in debugmode.

visualcron seems to start properly after reboot, but the .exe job did not run.
not before I log on that server on remote-desctop the .exe-job starts in the next cycle.

I have added the logfile and a screenshot of the settings for the job.

Could you see any hints?

I think it might be a local security policy that needs to be changed. The following is taken from the VisualCron documentation:

Quote:

To make interactive logon work in Windows 2008 you must disable SAS (Secure Attention Sequence). You do this by opening Administrative tools->Local Security Policy.

In the Local policies you need to enable "Interactive logon: Do not require CTRL+ALT+DEL"
