Hi,

when i start the task "Excute" with the programm "Fileworks" from the german Telekom to transfer x400-edi-files,
the task only runs about 3-4 seconds. When i start the shell "cmd.exe" and use the same command and arguments the programm
runs about several minutes and comes to the right end.

I try "Backround/Foreground" execution and several combinations of parameters/credentials, but without success.
Probably it is a problem with rights. But the program is on the same Server as Visualcron. I use local admin rights.

Thanks
Frank

Correct, only a running time of 3-4 Second. I have no clue, debugging without erros or windows is hard.

1. Normally, if you use Foreground Execution with no Credential in Task it should behave as when you normally execute it. Perhaps it needs a certain working directory?

2. Does it access any network resources, if yes you should uncheck "Local login" in the Credential settings. If no you should check "Load profile".

3. It does not produce any log file?

1. The working directory is where the exe is.
I've tried a lot of combinations of credentials/executions...
2. The exe is local, but the arguments have links to network. I use drive letters (mappings). When i use UNC nothing changes.
I've tried Local login and not Load profile and not and the combination of these.
I've tried Run Task as without Credentials an with it, Use shell execute and not.
I wonder if i see not the window of the programm, but using the foreground execution (and not "Run in hidden Window").
3. The results of the task is alsways "Success" and no output.

If you remote the Credential and use Execution context foreground on the main settings of the Task you will see the window if you do not use "run hidden" option. Maybe this foreground execution is the only way for this executable.
