I created a key ring and key through Visual Cron and send the .pub key to another user. They encrypted a file with my key and sent it to me. I created a task to decrypt the file and selected the appropriate key ring, but am getting the following error. "PGP File decryption error: No appropriate OpenPGP secret key for decryption found".

When creating keys through Visual Cron, does the system create both a public key and private key?

I used Visual Cron. I selected PGP key rings, selected create blank key ring. I then highlighted the new key ring and selected create key and entered the appropriate information. Highlighted the new key and selected the Save as, and saved as name.pub and sent that to my other contact. Should I have also saved the .prv key?

My contact then encrypted a file using the pub key I sent. I downloaded the file using Visual Cron and had a task to decrypt the file using the key ring I created and I got the error message stated in my original post.

They are using McAfee E-Business Server v7.5 to encypt the file.

Jeanette, just wanted to get back to you with some feedback. We have not reproduced the issue yet because we had problems creating that environment. We will try to create other similar environment to see if this is a general problem.
