I have a job with one task. The task is a file copy.

The copy is failing due to credentials, and the result is "Exception in Task"

I've setup a notification with "Notify on Error". The notify is sent, which to me indicates the system knows the task failed.

However, {JOB(Active|Result)} which is in the body of the message says "Success"

In the visualcron client, I also see the JOB result as "Success" but the ResultImage is a red exclamation.

What am I doing wrong here?

thanks,

Drew

What if you create a copy files Task that try to copy an empty folder. In newer versions this generate an error. In my case I see both error symbol and error text in main window.

Another thing that is interesting is that if you set the notification on the Task instead of the job the actual job has not finished yet and is still in "success" state.

Hi.
I am having the same thing happen with many tasks using 5.7.5 Build 39316 specifically when the a task errors out the Job result is Success (the task is a basic select 1/0 sql task designed to test the error handling). Is there another version that does show this as an error?
any feed back would be much appreciated.

Is it possible to export all settings and send to support@visualcron.com. Please also tell me which Job it is and "how" the SQL Task fails.
