Dear support,

There appears to be a problem with selecting a custom filename when exporting.

1) Select export.

2) Select a specific object to export, i.e. a job.

3) Select custom file path and change filename to something else, i.e. myjob.zip

4) Click Start.

The custom filename is ignored, instead it used VC-settings.zip, but it does output the correct objects. The file is saved on the server even when run from the client.

If the custom path is changed to "c:\myjob.zip" then it write to the local PC.

Hi,

in this case I do not understand the problem. Perhaps we should be more clear that default path is saved to Server backup folder.

Also, which you may not noticed is that the file path field is greyed out when choosing default.

When using Custom we are always working with local drive.

HI Henrik,

I have just retested this.

1) Delete/rename backup file on server.

2) Select export settings

3) Select custom path, do not change the filename.

4) Click start, the file is saved to the server, NOT to the local PC.

I've tried this on 2 clients, both running 5.1.0.

Am I misunderstanding how this is supposed to work ?

We cannot reproduce this.

1. is the file saved on both places -local and remote?
2. what if you change the path to something very local - like your documents folder?
