I wondered if anyone here has used VC to run Mapbasic (Mapinfo) compiled program files (.MBX) and if so how have they done it.

normally this can be done from the command line using the "start" command because of the file associations with MapBasic/Mapinfo but I am struggling to get this to working.

any ideas?

MapBasic, which application executes these files?

Try specifying that application full path in command line and then the full path to your mbx file as argument.
