Hello,

It seems that filecopy is extremely slow when using shares.
It even does not matter if I execute Powershell command in VisualCron, it will take time a lot.
for example 200 files about 40kb each..combined about 8 Mb.
If I run Robocopy straigh from server, it takes bit over 10 seconds. (logged in as same user as I have Credidentials in VC)
Exact same ..but executed within visualcron it takes over 6 minutes.
Normal file copy in VC takes even longer.
I tried to make mapping for the folder, but absolutely no change.
So now I'm wondering how do I get VisualCron to copy files faster...
it's also ok for me if we get around this..like I thought to go thorough powershell or execute.
Also noticed that when running through VC it takes lot time when first file is apparing in destination folder.
So Ideas?

When you run the "Test" to list the files you want to copy, how long does that take? The test-tab I mean.

Hi,

Listing (test) works fast..it opens list in under 2 sec. But copying same list of files from share to local (VC) server took 2,5 minutes.
but to be fair... it took with normal windows explorer the same.
So it is not actually VisualCron problem.

And that is why I was taking the Robocopy actually as I can run it in several streams..as it is going to be transfer for lot of small files in batches (150 - 600 files in batch, size about 40kb per file) from local VC server to Share.
But why Robocopy is behaving differently depending is it run inside of VC or Straight from server.

Robocopy only does one thing and focus on one thing. It's the same with Filezilla and sftp/mft, they are able to optimize and put all development on that one single thing, while VisualCron does 300+ things. There is a lot more filtering and other things going on in VisualCron which makes it so it takes a bit more time
