It would be very handy if there was a Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) extension available via the Markeplace that could be integrated with the CI/CD (specifically the release definition) when deploying software.

We use a combination of visual studio via VSTS coupled with automated builds and releases. Even if you started small and created an extension task that could be part of a release definition that would create a visual cron job and task. At the moment, our release process consists of doing a build, from here the release definition copy's the files to the destination server. Previous to VisualCron, we would have a task that would create a windows scheduled task to run the executable deployed. This now needs to change to create a visual cron job/task (if it does not already exist) to run a process. I know this could be quite complex given all the features available via VisualCron, so I think it would be good to start with the basics such as scheduling and being able to run a process using supplied credentials.

An idea would be to make this open source so that people can extend and contribute at will.

Thanks.
