As the title says, we would like the ability to switch of the popup with the new version. It can be annoying, especially if you are in a situation where you cannot upgrade. I check regularly for new version anyway, and don't need the popup. Maybe this setting already exists, but I couldn't find it.

You can do this, just switch off new version checking on the client

File->Client Settings->Main Settings->Check for new version at Startup
