Is it possible to have this task type wait until the desired off task/job to finish before going onto the next task?

Which is "this task type"? If you have tasks within a Job they will wait for each other if you have "Run Tasks in order" set.

Say I have Job "ABC" that takes, say, 30 seconds to run. Say I have a second job "XYZ" which has two tasks, Task1 and Task2. Task1 is of type "Job/Task control" (under the "Internal" category). Say I then select the "Action" under the "Job/Task Control" tab to be "Job - Run Job" and then pick "ABC" under the Job dropdown list.

How can I make it so job XYZ's Task1 waits for Job ABC to finish before going onto to its Task2?

I hope this is clearer,
Alan.

Currently you can't because the newly started Job is started in it's own thread. I recommend:

1. that you put all related Tasks within one Job
2. you could make a request in the Feature request forum that we add an option for to wait for Job result before continuing
