Hi,

I recently upgraded to v7.1.0 and now my email tasks that sent me log files from the day are now sending me all log files and are not filtering them.

The issue is that I have a date filter set to be CreatedDate > {DATEFORMAT(dd/MM/yyyy 00:00:00)}

However, when I go to the Test tab and press the 'Show Filtered Files' button - it lists all files.

This was working prior to this upgrade.

Please can someone look into this.

Thanks,

Don.

Hi,

we cannot reproduce this. Please test version 7.1.1.

Have you open properties of one of the files that you saw when clicking on Test?

Hi,

Ok - I have upgraded to 7.1.1 and there is still a problem.

I have created a new email task and it does not work correctly in there either.

I have done some more testing and currently....

If I do not specify a date/time filter then I get all files (as you would expect).

If I specify a "If created date older than" value I get no files (even though there are files older than the date I specify - and yes I've check the properties of the files.

If I specify a "If created date new than" value I get all files (even though there is only one file newer than the date I specify).

I have also checked this on various "file" related tasks - such as Archive (zip) with a date filter and it behaves the same.

Is there a system locale that could be doing this?? I don't see what's changed though and I tried changing dd/MM/yyyy around to MM/dd/yyyy and VisualCron errorred with an invalid date.

You should use the default date that is presented to you, that is the only way to do that - otherwise you will get errors like "invalid date".

What if you just use:

If created date older than and then user the first value "Date format" with no other formatting (or change) than the default - do you get all files then?

Hi,

I've just tried this - new Archive Zip task - without a date filter it returned all files in the folder.

I then created a Date filter of If CreatedDate older than {DATEFORMAT(dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm)} (with no alterations) then it did not return any files (and it should have returned all files again).

Hope this helps!

There is a way of debugging this more. Turn on Extended debugging in server settings. Then run the Task again. In the log_serverDATE.txt there should be some intersting information where all file dates and in-date is compared.

I have never seen this before but I guess it is a combination of the format and your regional settings. Please open your regional settings and take a screen shot of the date/time format.
