If a batch job is configured with a network share and when the network share is not found, VisualCron crashed totally, stopped processing the rest of the jobs. Is this a bug ? The error log is as below.

2/24/2010 9:46:49 PM Err Error watching (ReConnect) directory, err: The path is not of a legal form.
2/24/2010 9:46:49 PM Err An unhandled error has occured (please send the information below tosupport@visualcron.com):

Sorry for delay. We cannot reproduce this. We tested this by mapping a drive, watching the drive and removed the drive while watching. Do you have any way to reproduce this?

This has happened in a production server and I guess we cannot test it in production again. Let me know if you need more information from me for troubleshooting. Can you try restarting the shared file server when the batch was running?

Hi,

This has heppened again on 6/7/10. The trigger for a job was set to look for log files in the database server. When the database server was down, the trigger for this job failed. It has stopped the subsequent jobs from processing.

Please advise as to why this happens and waht is the fix for the issue. Thanks

Venkat

Yes, we are . We have to update the version in many servers and clients.

Do you advise that we need to upgrade?
